We want getting to us to be the easiest part of your journey. Here's everything you need to know about entering Egypt, based on your passport. Canadian, UK, US & Australian passports Great news — you have two easy options to enter Egypt: • eVisa (recommended): Apply online before you travel at visa2egypt.gov.eg (http://visa2egypt.gov.eg)to skip the queue on arrival and breeze straight through to celebrate with us. • Visa on arrival: Available at the airport. You'll purchase it at a designated counter in the arrivals hall before passport control. Allow 15 to 45 minutes for this. Nigerian passports Your entry route depends on your travel history: • If you hold a valid, previously used visa or residence permit from Canada, the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, or any Schengen country, you are eligible for a visa on arrival for up to 30 days. Welcome aboard! • If you do not hold any of the above, you will need to apply for a visa at the Egyptian embassy or consulate in Nigeria before you travel. We recommend starting this process as early as possible to give yourself plenty of time. A gentle reminder: Travel requirements can change. We recommend confirming the latest entry rules with the Egyptian embassy or consulate in your home country closer to October 2026, just to be sure. You may fly into Alexandria Borg El Arab International Airport or Cairo International Airport. While Alexandria is closest to the city, some travelers may find it more direct and convenient to fly into Cairo and drive down to Alexandria

Cairo is approximately a 2.5 to 3 hour drive from Alexandria, and we will be organizing shuttle transportation for guests based on arrival times

Yes, we plan to organize shuttle buses from both Alexandria and Cairo depending on guest arrival schedules. Train travel is an option, however online ticket purchases are typically limited to Egyptian nationals, which can make advance booking more complicated for international guests

Yes, guests may travel by shuttle, Uber, or train depending on preference and timing Uber is available for intercity travel, though availability and pricing may vary. We recommend planning ahead if choosing this option

You may arrange your own transportation if preferred, but shuttle details will be shared for guests who would like to join group transfers

The local currency is the Egyptian Pound, and credit cards are accepted at most hotels and larger establishments
